Minutes of meeting of the Dundalk Cycling Alliance

2/            Minutes

Tony proposed and Fiona seconded the adoption of the minutes of January 2010 meeting.

3/            Matters Arising.

Tony distributed the second draft of an evaluation sheet to monitor facilities for cyclists. This sheet was approved of by the members. Tony will complete the sheet in relation to DkIT and treat it as a trial run.

4/            Meeting with D.Aherne T.D.

Liam advised that the members will meet the Minister on Friday, subject to the Minister being available then. Tony provided Liam with maps for the meeting. The members directed that Liam tale the lead at the meeting. Ollan gave the presentation already given to the Strategic Policy Committee for the transport and cross border  of the Louth CoCo. Aspects of the presentation will be used at the meeting with the Minister. Reference will also be made of the Cooley Cycle rout at the meeting.

5/            Meeting with Tesco

Liam and Ollan will seek a meeting with Tesco to suggest optimum facilities for cyclists at their new centre in Dundalk.

6/            Meeting Cycling Club

Liam and Ollan gave a report on the meeting of the Cuchulain Cycling Club held to commemorate their 75^th anniversary.

7/            Website.

The tampering with the website has been corrected.

8/         A.O.B.

The Cooley Cycle Plan will be on the agenda for the next meeting.

9/         Next Meeting

The next meeting will be on Wednesday  24^th March 2010  from 8:00 to 9:30 in Liam’s house.
