6th February 2013

1/Attendance
Nadia, Tony, Liam, Ollan and Fiona.

2/Minutes.
Ollan proposed and Tony seconded the adoption of the minutes of the last meeting that were adopted and signed by Liam.

3/Matters Arising
3.1 Liam  said  that  he  had  met  the  new  tourist  officer  for Dundalk,  Ms  Sinead  Roche and  gave her details of a cycle lane to link the tourist office to the railway station. The proposed cycle lane will not cause any loss of parking space or pass by any shops and so will be less likely to be controversial. It will mainly go through existing parkland and so will be a very tourist friendly start to the scenic Cooley Cycle Lane when it is completed. It will also link into the existing Dundalk Cycle  Lane  Network.  Sinead  said  that  she  would  raise  it  at  appropriate meetings and support the proposed cycle lane.
3.2 Liam  thanked  Ollan  for  preparing  the  map  showing  the  new  cycle  lane  and  the  supporting written details of the cycle lane.
3.3 Liam  said  that  he  will  give  the  written  and  graphic  versions  of  the  cycle  lane  plan  to  the Town Engineer.
