Tony proposed and Ollan seconded the adoption of the minutes of the last meeting that were adopted and signed by Liam.

Matters Arising There were no matters arising.

4/Website

Tony made additions to the website.

5/Finance

Fiona advised that there was no change in relation to finance.

6/ Cooley Cycle Lanes

Tony made a presentation to the joint committee of the Louth and N&MDC councils. The presentation was well received. One of those in attendance said that the Cooley Cycle lane project was an exciting idea and a sound one for cross border funding. Tony will make the presentation to The Newry Canal Users Group and to the Economic Development Subcommittee of the N&MDC. The meeting agreed to change the presentation to enhance the references to the link the Newry to Portadown Tow Path to the Newry to Carlingford section.

7/Dundalk Cycle Lanes

Ollan read a letter sent by him and Liam to a locally owned MNC requesting them to fund some non controversial cycle lane development. He advised that the funding will not be available. Liam said he would write to a well known local business man requesting similar funding.

8/Publicity

Nadia said that she is preparing a blog on the Dundalk Cycle lanes. Liam said, he would call the Irish times asking to do an article on the Dundalk Cycling lanes.

There was no AOB.

10/ Next Meeting

The next meeting will be held in Liam’s house from 8:00 to 9:30 on Wednesday 14th August 2013.
